Kombucha is back

By popular demand we are pleased to announce the availability of little sprouts kombucha!

We had stopped offering this wonderful elixir when moving into the new fermentation room,  but all is up and running now.  Kombucha is available!

Our kombucha is quite special.  Rich and thick without high sugar,  and fully alive!  We do not flash pasteurized this,  do not "heat to extend shelf life"  or in any way change it from its homemade state (as most store brands do).  It's unique flavor is due to two kinds of tea with two kinds of sugar.  There is none like this!

For now available in half gallons and quarts as plain.  When our new screw top jars arrive,  we will be bottling this in flavors in single serving screw top bottles.

Order some today!

Here is a pic of the next batch of kombucha aging...  14 gallons with healthy scobys.  Yum!

First GAPS soup for trial!

It's here! Our first  GAPS soup canned and ready for trial!  We started with a basic vegetable in chicken stock with heritage chicken meat.  Yum!  (we hope).

This marks the beginning of this year's new project to produce a line of ready to eat soups that are GAPS LEGAL,  and made with only the finest ingredients  (organically raised,  non gmo,  soy free,  heritage breed,  pasture raised,  humanely treated) with zero added chemicals. Our goal is to provide an easy way to experience the gaps intro diet for yourself.

For now we are doing internal testing for flavor,  texture,  aroma....  But we are happy to provide a sample to farm visitors interested in giving feedback.

What an exciting year this is!

We need your help, ASAP

We are asking for your help to support our fundraiser to build an on farm commercial kitchen and allow us to produce and sell nutrient dense organic, non-gmo, traditional healthy foods that heal in convenient packaging. The project for fundraising was launched a couple weeks ago, and has a couple of weeks to go, but quite honestly we are not doing well.  We need your help.

If you have pledged already, we sincerely thank you. If not, we ask that you consider making a pledge to this cause, to help families in need of good healing foods and achieve or preserve true health.

Then, we ask that you publicize this plea for help anywhere you can, through email lists, facebook shares, websites,  door to door, etc. Any way you can think of to get the word out within the next 2 weeks!

This is an all or nothing funding project, so if we dont reach the goal of $25,000 in the next 2 weeks, we will receive nothing.I still believe we can reach the goal, all we need is to get the word out to a few more people with a heart to help others and our world.

Thanks!

It's Here! the biggest news in Little Sprouts History Begins Today!

After months of silent preparation, we are finally at a point to announce arrival of the biggest even in Little Sprouts Farm history...

We are in the process of building a full commercial kitchen, and most importantly asking YOU for help.

All the details are here, on our KICKSTARTER WEBSITE

A little background:

The purpose of the kitchen is to allow us to produce  new kinds of foods going forward, that we can not do reasonably today at the scale required....  The kitchen contains a separate fermentation room, as well as full kitchen facilities,  to allow for production of cultured foods as well. The building itself is portable, built into a refrigerated container, so if we ever move it can go with us!

In addition to the cultured foods, the kitchen has facilities and space to allow us to produce some convenient healthy traditional foods in a new line we are announcing soon, specifically for people on GAPS and SCD diets type.  No longer will you have to spend hours per day in the kitchen to reap the benefits of these healthy foods. We will offer convenience of grocery store packaged foods with actually healthy, GAPS legal contents!

Unfortunately our own life savings were not quite enough to cover the cost of implementing this farm plus adding a kitchen and fermentation room,  quite frankly we have invested every dollar we had into this place.  So to complete this one last component, and allow us to go the last step to making convenient foods for sale. Please prayerfully consider a contribution to the cause.
